Wi-Fi Calling lets you make and receive calls or texts using a wireless internet connection instead of a cellular network. This is especially useful in areas of campus where cell signal is weak—such as interior classrooms, basements, residence halls, or research buildings.
What Is Wi-Fi Calling?
Wi-Fi Calling uses the university’s secure Wi-Fi network to place calls and send messages from your mobile phone. Your regular phone number and carrier plan stay the same, no extra applications or logins required.
This helps ensure you can stay connected with family, classmates, faculty, and campus services, even when mobile signal strength is low.
