Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) is gearing up to welcome its newest Colonels to campus during Big E Welcome on Aug. 13-17. The multi-day event helps new students settle in, make friends and get a feel for college life before classes kick off on Aug. 18. Students get to explore campus, meet new people and enjoy a full lineup of activities while building skills to succeed both in and outside of the classroom.
“Big E Welcome is such an exciting time of year, because it marks the beginning of an incredible journey for our newest Colonels,” said EKU President David McFaddin. “It’s our chance to show new students what makes the Campus Beautiful special and to help them start their college experience with a strong sense of Colonel pride. We are thrilled to welcome the newest members of our EKU family.”
