Ashna Day (she/her) is a Doctoral Psychology Intern at the Eastern Kentucky University Counseling Center and a doctoral candidate in Counseling Psychology at the University of Kentucky. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Wisconsin and has worked across university counseling centers, community mental health, partial hospitalization, hospital, and private practice settings. Ashna takes an integrative approach to therapy that emphasizes mind-body integration, collaboration, and cultural responsiveness, drawing from relational-cultural, psychodynamic, and cognitive-behavioral approaches. Her clinical interests include chronic health conditions and pain, anxiety and related concerns, eating and body image concerns, compulsive behaviors, trauma, mood concerns, insomnia, relationship concerns, and identity and cultural issues. Her research focuses on cultural responsiveness and mental health help-seeking among Asian Indians. Outside of her professional interests, Ashna enjoys spending time outdoors and learning new skills.
