EKU Receives Three Environmental Grants from Bluegrass PRIDE
Three environmental projects at Eastern Kentucky University, valued at approximately $15,000, have received funding from Bluegrass PRIDE (Personal Responsibility in a Desirable Environment).

Eastern Kentucky University is among 10 “large universities” nationwide, and the only large university in the Commonwealth, to make the Honor Roll in The Chronicle of Higher Education’s 2010 Great Colleges to Work For® program, according to the results of the third annual survey announced in a special supplement of The Chronicle.
Hansen Re-Elected Region 5 SPJ Director
Dr. Elizabeth Hansen, professor of communication at Eastern Kentucky University, has been re-elected to a second two-year term as Region 5 director of the Society of Professional Journalists.
As a director, Hansen will continue to serve on SPJ’s national board of directors and will be responsible for serving the organization’s chapters in Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky.
Student SPJ Chapter Named Best in Three-State Region
Eastern Kentucky University’s student chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists has been named Campus Chapter of the Year for Region 5, which includes Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky.
College of Education Adds 6 to Wall of Honor
Eastern Kentucky University’s College of Education has named six more individuals to its Wall of Honor.
The Wall, which is located on the fourth floor of the Combs Building on EKU’s campus, recognizes those men and women who have made significant contributions to the College or to education or the helping professions in Kentucky.
