Savings Continue for Motorcycle Rider Education Courses Across Kentucky

Savings continue for Kentucky Motorcycle Rider Education Courses throughout the Commonwealth.

The Basic RiderCourses are offered in 17 Kentucky communities for costs that range between $75 and $100 for the 20-hour training program. The costs average out to less than $5 per hour in each of the training programs available.

Regents Approve 2011-12 Budget

The Eastern Kentucky University Board of Regents, meeting in regular session on Tuesday, June 7, approved a 2011-12 operating budget of $233,408,820, an increase of 6.9 percent over the previous year.

EKU, Morehead Announce Collaborative Regional Education Program

Eastern Kentucky University and Morehead State University today announced a new program, “Associate to Baccalaureate Degree Pathway: Collaborative Regional Education Program,” that will allow students at the University Center of the Mountains and Hazard Community and Technology College who have already received an associate degree to obtain a bachelor’s degree from EKU or MSU

Waters Named Director of Choral Activities

Eastern Kentucky University has appointed Dr. Richard Waters director of choral activities.

Waters, associate professor of music, will direct the University’s three choral ensembles and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in conducting and choral literature.

History Professor Honored for Article

Dr. Robert Weise, associate professor in Eastern Kentucky University’s Department of History, has received the 32nd annual Richard H. Collins Award from the Kentucky Historical Association.
