Location and Parking Information

Spring 2023 Honors Convocation will be held in the Keen Johnson Ballroom.

The Lancaster lot will be available for guests without an EKU parking permit from 3:00-10:00 pm on Thursday, May 11, 2023. There is a loading and unloading area in front of Keen Johnson on University Drive. Feel free to drop off guests and then park your vehicle in the Lancaster lot.

The most up-to-date parking map is available by going to EKU Parking and Transportation Services and choosing “Parking Map” on their menu. Or find one here (PDF, 7.3 Mb).

If you wish to park in an accessible space on EKU’s campus, please contact EKU Parking. The accessible spaces on EKU’s campus require an EKU permit, and you will receive a ticket if you just have your state-issued tag.

If a student with an EKU parking permit is driving to Honors Convocation, all EKU parking restrictions apply (i.e., do not park in an employee space/lot).

What should I wear to convocation?

Convocation is a semi-formal event (i.e., men-coat and tie/similarly dressy; women-skirt/dress/nice slacks). We will not be wearing graduation gowns for convocation, and mentors are not to wear regalia for this event.

What if I can’t attend convocation?

We hope that you will be able to join us, but we understand if you are unable to attend. Information on picking up your maroon mortarboard was included in an email from the honors program with the subject line, “Important Spring/Summer 2023 Graduation Information Inside.” If you are a student who cannot attend convocation, information on picking up your thesis certificate will be emailed directly to you in late April or early May. Please email kevin.watts@eku.edu if you need more information.
