The Summer Kickstart Program is offered through Sponsored Programs & Research Administration (SPRA) with the goal to equip faculty with the skills and resources to prepare competitive grant proposals that will result in new externally funded awards.
Selected faculty participants will engage in structured professional development, individualized support, and independent writing. They will also benefit from opportunities to learn from one another and research mentors. Faculty with a nine-month appointment who successfully complete the program will receive summer salary in the amount of $4,000 for time spent on grant proposal development tasks. Academic administrators are ineligible.
