EKU Trombone Society Invited to National Workshop

The Institute for Creative and Collaborative Arts (ICCA) School of Music is proud to announce that the Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) Trombone Society was invited to the 2026 American Trombone Workshop in Ft. Myer, Virginia. 

Hosted by the U.S. Army Band “Pershing’s Own” March 25-28, the 2026 American Trombone Workshop held on historic Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall featured multi-day recitals, concerts, workshops and competitions for musicians of all ages. 

For over 30 years, the American Trombone Workshop has acted as one of the largest annual gatherings for professional trombonists and regularly hosts participants from throughout the world, fostering an atmosphere that seeks to connect fellow professionals, educators and students. 

The EKU Trombone Society is led by Professor Dr. Nathan Siler. Siler holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music, two Master of Music degrees (trombone/wind conducting) from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University, a Bachelor of Music degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music and the Certificate of Advanced Studies from the University of Southern California.
