Prepare to work in the technology industry in as little as two years with EKU’s associate degree in technology. Open the door to employment in a variety of organizations by developing your expertise in communication, critical-thinking, math, statistics, and science. Graduates are prepared for entry level careers or to pursue a bachelor’s degree.
Rapid job growth is expected in technology related fields as companies increasingly turn to the expertise of engineers and technicians for projects involving electrical and electronic devices, systems, and infrastructure. These employees are expected to have key roles in developing sophisticated consumer electronics, solar arrays, semiconductors, and communications technologies. From 2023 to 2033, the employment of electrical and electronics engineers is projected to grow 9 percent, and the employment of computer systems analysts is projected to grow 11 percent. Both projections are much faster than the average for all occupations during that time.
