Planning Your Eastern Kentucky University Visit

Parking/Check-in

You will need a free visitor parking pass. Please visit here to register for one. You will be prompted to create a username and password. You can then enter your license plate, make and model of your vehicle.
Park Drive (closest to building): Turn off of Lancaster Ave. You can set your GPS to 216 Park Drive, Richmond, KY 40475. There are diagonal spaces for visitors on the right. The Whitlock Building is the building directly in front of these spaces. The Welcome Center is on the 1st floor (160). If the spaces in front of Whitlock are full, you can park in the Alumni Coliseum lot.
Alumni Coliseum lot: Set your GPS to 641 Eastern Bypass, Richmond, KY 40475. You will turn into the Coliseum lot at traffic light #6. There are designated spaces in this lot for visitors on the right – please look for the signs. Walk to the left of Alumni Coliseum toward the water tower following the signs to the Whitlock Building. The Welcome Center is on the 1st floor (160).

How do I register for a campus visit?

It’s easy! Register here. You will receive a confirmation email upon registering and reminders before your visit.

What can I expect from a campus visit?

A typical campus visit lasts approximately 1.5 hours and includes an information session delivered by EKU Admissions as well as a guided walking tour of campus with current students.

Do I need a parking pass for my scheduled visit?

You will need a free visitor parking pass. Please visit NuPark to register for one. You will be prompted to create a username and password. You can then enter your license plate, make and model of your vehicle.

What can I expect when I arrive for my visit?

Please refer to your confirmation and reminder emails for information on where to park and arrive for your visit. There is designated parking, as well as a designated entrance to the Welcome Center.

What happens if I will be late to my visit?

If arriving more than 15 minutes late, please consider rescheduling your visit. The EKU Information Session is only 30 minutes in length; arriving too late means you will be missing a lot of information about the university. If you are going to be late or have to reschedule, please call/email the Welcome Center at 859-622-8926 or visits@eku.edu

What happens if I can’t make it to my scheduled visit?

No worries! You can reschedule by contacting the Welcome Center at 859-622-8926 or visits@eku.edu.

How can I request accommodations for my visit?

If you need a wheelchair or an interpreter during your visit, please contact the Admissions front desk at visits@eku.edu. All interpreting requests must be submitted no later than 48 business hours prior to the event. All requests are processed during business hours unless there is a university closure.
