Orientation is your first official welcome to the “Campus Beautiful.” For Summer 2024, we will have in-person and virtual options.

Who needs to attend Orientation?

Any first-time, full-time student in the fall who has already been admitted should attend. If the student is over 21 years of age or are transferring in more than 24 credit hours, Orientation is optional.

How does a student register for Orientation?

  • Go to the Orientation website.
  • Select the campus where you want to attend Orientation.
  • Follow the steps provided on that campus’ page to register for Orientation.

What is the Summer Orientation schedule?

Orientation will take place from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

How much is the Orientation fee and how do I pay it?

The Colonel Commitment fee is $200 and needs to be paid ahead of registering for Orientation. To do this, log into your EKU student portal, click on the checklist tab and follow the prompts. Paying the Colonel Commitment Fee will gain you access to the housing application, housing commuter waiver form, and orientation signup. Please contact your admissions counselor if you are having problems logging in or finding your portal.

How do I get my fall schedule?

You will have a pre-advising survey emailed to you. Once you complete and return the survey, an academic advisor will work with you to create your schedule. You will select classes and finalize your schedule on your orientation day.

Can I make changes to my fall schedule?

Yes, you will be able to make any changes needed to your schedule. We suggest you contact your advisor.
