EKU Increases Access to Innovative Certificate Program for Working Professionals
Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) is opening applications to a certificate program that is the first of its kind in the United States. The Financial Technology and Cybercrime certification program is geared toward working professionals and upcoming students interested in the banking and financial industry, filling a critical need in the sector.
Joanna Ouyang: EKU Youngest Spring 2023 Graduates at 19
At spring commencement ceremonies on May 12, Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) recognized more than 2,000 graduates from the Class of 2023. Chia Hui Ouyang, who goes by Joanna, was this spring’s youngest graduate at 19 years old. Ouyang earned her degree in two years after starting her collegiate career at 17 years old. During the 9 a.m. ceremony held at Baptist Health Arena in Alumni Coliseum, she received a bachelor’s degree in international business.
Commonwealth Credit Union Gifts $1 Million to Support Banking and Finance Program at EKU
Commonwealth Credit Union (CCU) and Eastern Kentucky University announced on April 12 an agreement of a $1-million gift to support the Evans Banking and Financial Services program and the establishment of a new certificate program in Financial Technology and Cybercrime. In recognition of CCU’s gift, the Learning Commons at Stratton Building will be renamed the Commonwealth Credit Union Learning Lounge.
