Financial Aid and Advising
Financial aid and academic advising are foundational to your academic success as you kick off your college career. Our financial aid experts will partner with you to finance your education in an informed manner, while our exceptional academic advisors work with you each semester to plan your courses responsibly to ensure you graduate on time. In addition to planning your courses each semester, your advisor is available to help you register for classes, facilitate schedule or major changes, and complete the necessary steps for graduation when the time comes.
Big E Central is your primary resource for navigating financial aid, scholarships, billing, payment plans, and registration assistance.
Your Colonel Card serves as your official EKU identification and is used for services on campus like meal plans (meal swipes and flex dollars), building access, athletics, events, Colonel Cash, mail and package collection, and borrowing materials from EKU Libraries.

The Office of Advising and Career Services assists students in achieving their academic and career-related goals, from navigating their first year of college and choosing an inspiring major/career to pursuing experiential learning and preparing to target a variety of job opportunities. Services include academic advising, career counseling, co-op/internship search and assistance, job search preparation, employer events and a Part-Time Job Program.

The Center for Inclusive Excellence and Global Engagement (CIEGE) is a student-centered campus hub promoting life-long learning and global citizenship. Through programming, mentorship, and co-curricular engagement, CIEGE works to celebrate, support, and provide a sense of belonging for students at Eastern Kentucky University. CIEGE imagines and supports a campus environment where students will be well-rounded thinkers that are confident and responsible with a strong sense of belonging from admission to graduation and beyond.
Offering students the opportunity for increased social engagement, networking, and philanthropic participation, fraternities and sororities are some of the most active and visible groups on EKU’s campus. The Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life advises and supports our community of 28 organizations, along with the inter-fraternity council, panhellenic council, and the National Pan-Hellenic Council. Eastern Kentucky University sponsors 16 varsity athletic programs competing at the NCAA Division I level. The Colonels are proud members of the Atlantic Sun Conference and United Athletic Conference (football). EKU students receive free admission to all athletics events with a valid student ID.

Tutoring and Academic Success
Whether you need help overcoming learning challenges or to improve your overall academic performance, EKU offers a range of exceptional tutoring centers and opportunities to help you succeed. Tutoring is more than test prep, it builds good study habits, promotes critical thinking and fosters independent learning.
The Bratzke Student-Athlete Academic Success Center offers a variety of support services including mentoring, tutoring, study hall, academic progress monitoring and academic advising to help assist the more than 350 EKU student-athletes reach their full academic potential. The center offers a staff of academic advisors, tutors, and mentors working one on one with student-athletes to provide them support in their transition from high school to college and throughout their careers at EKU.
El Centro is a space for ALL students to create a community around success and academic achievement. A home away from home and a place to build relationships, El Centro offers bilingual tutoring and mentoring in multiple subjects and one-on-one language consultants for students interested in study abroad or professional development. We provide: tutoring, mentoring, study spaces, advising, digital whiteboard, and study supplies to help you achieve good grades.
The Center for Student Parents is a place to feel supported, accepted, and prepared for life as a parenting college student. Through guidance, academic support, advising, workshops, referrals, and employment opportunities, student parents can graduate and meet educational and personal goals.
EKU Libraries offers a wealth of resources and student support. We offer a vast collection of books, journals, multimedia resources and databases to aid in your studies, as well as dedicated study spaces, expert librarians, and technology to help you during your educational journey.
Located on the first floor of the Crabbe Library, the Student Success Center is designed to serve as a one-stop-shop where students can get assistance with an array of areas like course work, financial aid, study skills, choosing a major, course registration, stress management, and much more.
The Office of First-Year Courses & Learning Communities administers Student Success Seminars for all first-year students. Student Success Seminars include content about campus resources, study skills, critical thinking, and helping students find ways to get connected to the university during the transition to college. Eastern Kentucky University offers several variations of the seminar, depending upon a student’s major or special interests.
Located in the Crabbe Library, the Noel Studio helps EKU students develop effective communication and writing skills through peer-to-peer meetings called consultations, which are available both in-person (on the EKU Richmond campus) and online (via Zoom). The Noel Studio also provides technology, spaces, and resources to help students complete their academic work.
Support Services
We understand how essential a strong support system is to student success. EKU strives to provide for the physical, mental and emotional well-being of our students by offering a comprehensive network of support services.
The Center for Student Accessibility (CSA) assists students with a diagnosed disability, by coordinating campus and program accessibility and providing support in attaining educational goals.
The EKU Counseling Center provides a wide range of mental health services to support student emotional health and wellbeing. These services include brief individual therapy, therapy and support groups, mental health skill-building workshops, crisis support services, wellness spaces, and much more. Our services are confidential, following Kentucky laws and ethical guidelines. EKUCC offers mental health support and crisis services to EKU students, or those concerned about a student, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week including weekends, evenings, holidays, and during university closures.
The Dean of Students provides support for students with their educational and personal growth by connecting them with resources, advocacy, and assistance in navigating situations that could impede their progress.
Information Technology Services (ITS) provides resources and support to EKU students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Our IT professionals are here to help you navigate essential applications, secure digital infrastructure and advanced technology solutions. We’re dedicated to enhancing your technology experience at EKU.

We provide parking and transportation services to Eastern Kentucky University students, faculty, staff, and guests.
The Eastern Kentucky University Police Department provides 24-hour patrol of campus buildings, parking lots, residence hall exteriors, and campus grounds. Patrol is by motor vehicle, bicycle, and on foot. The department does not provide patrol services to the regional campuses, but may provide other services to include investigations and crime prevention programs.

The Office of Military and Veterans Affairs serves veterans and military students by assisting with admissions, obtaining VA benefits and credit for military training, and serving as an advocate for veterans’ issues throughout the campus community.
EKU Corbin offers classes to meet all general education requirements, access to fully online programs, and a selection of fully on-campus degree programs. EKU Corbin classes are offered mornings, afternoons or evenings to fit your busy lifestyle. Regional campus students who are majoring in a program offered fully online are permitted to take both online and Corbin course offerings.

EKU Manchester classes are offered mornings, afternoons or evenings to fit your busy lifestyle. Regional campus students who are majoring in a program offered fully online are permitted to take both online and Manchester course offerings.
Our mission is to promote the mental and physical wellbeing of our students through disease prevention strategies and acute care of illness. Students are better equipped for academic success when they are physically and mentally healthy. Our services include, acute illness/injury care; GYN concerns; sexual health/contraception; TB skin tests; and mental health prescribing. All students enrolled in classes at EKU may utilize Student Health Services.
