A scheduled presentation of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” tonight (Wednesday, Oct. 7) at the Eastern Kentucky University Center for the Arts, has been cancelled.

Earlier today, EKU President Michael Benson announced that all classes after 10 a.m. today were cancelled and all University campuses would be closed Thursday, Oct. 8, and Friday, Oct. 9, due to a security threat on campus. The decision was made to allow law enforcement to conduct a thorough investigation of the continuing threat and ensure the safety of the campus community.

The Center will issue refunds immediately, and there are no plans to reschedule the performance.

For more information, contact the Center at 859-622-7469. The Center’s box office is open today until 4:30 p.m. and will resume its normal weekday hours of 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., beginning Wednesday, Oct. 14. (The University is on fall break Oct. 12-13.)
