Eastern Kentucky University’s football game against Tennessee Tech University, scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 8, at Roy Kidd Stadium, is being moved to Toyota Stadium at Georgetown College in Georgetown, Kentucky, Director of Athletics Steve Lochmueller announced today (Wednesday, Oct. 7).

Eastern Kentucky University President Michael Benson announced today the closing of all EKU campuses for Thursday, Oct. 8 and Friday, Oct. 9 due to a security threat on campus.  This decision was made to allow law enforcement to conduct a thorough investigation of the continuing threat and ensure the safety of the campus community.

The Colonels and Golden Eagles will kick off their game at 7 p.m. at Toyota Stadium.  This facility was once the home to the Cincinnati Bengals' Summer Training Camp.  It now serves as the home to Georgetown College football, Georgetown College men's and women's soccer, Scott County High School football and Scott County High School boys' and girls' soccer.

All previously issued tickets will be honored at the game.  All seating will be general admission, there will not be any reserved seats.  Additional tickets can be purchased for $8 by calling the EKU athletics ticket office at 859-622-2122 or by visiting EKUSports.com.  Tickets will also be available for purchase, cash accepted only, at Toyota Stadium, while supplies last, beginning at 5:30 p.m.  Admission is free for all EKU students, with a valid student ID.

Parking at Toyota Stadium will be $5 per vehicle.

Thursday’s game is still a “Blackout.”  Colonel fans are encouraged to wear black.  Free black t-shirts will be available for students while supplies last.  Thursday is also Faculty/Staff Appreciation Night.  EKU faculty and staff can receive two free tickets to the game.
