Hummel Planetarium at Eastern Kentucky University will offer two new shows in the month of October. The planetarium will host Laser Light Shows Oct. 19-26. The Halloween-themed Spooky Stars will be held Saturday, Oct. 27.

Each Laser Light Show installment will have a different musical theme, with Laser Pop on Oct. 19 and Laser Country, Oct. 20, both at 8:30 p.m. The next weekend’s shows will honor classic rock giants. Laser Zeppelin will be held Oct. 25 at 8 p.m., with Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon immediately following at 9 p.m. The Oct. 26 shows will pay homage to Metallica at 10 p.m. and Pink Floyd’s The Wall at 11 p.m. Admission is $8 for children and EKU students, and $10 for adults.

Spooky Stars will consist of Fright Night II Laser Shows at 3 and 5 p.m. and Activities on the Plaza at 4 p.m. Admission is $10, with free admission for children under 3, and includes a ticket for one of the laser shows and activities on the plaza. Halloween costumes are encouraged.
