Eastern Kentucky University will confer 1,409 degrees on Friday Dec. 13. There will be 105 associate degrees, 987 bachelor’s degrees, 19 doctorate degrees, 288 masters degrees and 10 specialists degrees conferred. 

The ceremonies will take place in EKU’s Alumni Coliseum beginning at 9 a.m.

9 a.m. College of Justice & Safety 

(This ceremony is combined for students graduating in the College of Justice & Safety and the College of Letters, Arts, & Social Sciences)

Departments include:  Criminal Justice and Police Studies; School of Justice Studies; School of Safety, Security, and Emergency Management.

(This ceremony is combined for students graduating in the College of Justice & Safety and the College of Letters, Arts, & Social Sciences)

Departments include:  Anthropology/Sociology/Social Work; Art and Design; Communication; Economics; English and Theatre; Government; History; Interdisciplinary Programs; Languages, Cultures, and Humanities; the School of Music; Philosophy and Religion; and Psychology.

1:30 p.m. College of Health Sciences

A reception, for graduates and their families, will be held following the ceremony in the Fred Darling Auxiliary Gym (Alumni Coliseum). 

Departments include:  Environmental Health Science; Exercise and Sport Science; Family and Consumer Sciences; Health Promotion and Administration; Medical Laboratory Science; Nursing; Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy; Recreation and Park Administration. 

6 p.m. College of Business & Technology 

(This ceremony is combined for students graduating in the College of Education, College of Science, and College of Business and Technology)

Departments include:  Accounting, Finance, and Information Systems; Agriculture; Applied Engineering and Technology; Management, Marketing, and International Business. 

6 p.m. College of Education 

(This ceremony is combined for students graduating in the College of Education, College of Science, and College of Business and Technology)

Departments include:  American Sign Language and Interpreter Education; Curriculum and Instruction; Educational Leadership, Counselor Education, and Communication Disorders.

Departments include:  Biological Sciences; Chemistry; Computer Science; Geography and Geology; Mathematics and Statistics; Physics and Astronomy.
