Transfer Admission

Transferring institutions can be a great opportunity for you! EKU admits more than 1,000 transfer students a year to on-campus programs. All of these students are looking to continue their education and expand their horizons with an EKU degree. They come from community colleges, four-year universities, out-of-state schools, and abroad. Many of them receive transfer scholarships for the work they’ve done at their previous institutions, and all of them are individually guided and supported by the EKU Transfer Center. If you’re looking to join the ranks of the EKU transfer community, then you’re in the right place!

Am I a Transfer Student?

A transfer student is anyone who has attended another college or university after graduating high school but before coming to EKU. Incoming freshmen with dual credit or college summer coursework will need to follow the Transfer Credit policies, but they have separate admission requirements and scholarship opportunities.

Similarly, fully online students have a unique admission and enrollment process. While coursework may be transferred to meet online degree requirements, fully online students will not receive the same scholarship and tuition opportunities as on-campus or commuting transfer students.

Everything begins with applying, so review our admission requirements, then complete the application.

If you have already applied but need to see what to do next, visit your admitted student portal. If you’re interested in alternative forms of admission, then check out the Colonel Connection.
