Dr. Kristen Wilson received her doctorate in Computer Information Systems with minors in Management and Quantitative Analysis from Louisiana Tech University and is currently an Associate Professor of Corporate Communications and Technology and General Business Program Coordinator at Eastern Kentucky University. Before that, she taught for several years in the Department of Computer Science, also at Eastern Kentucky University.
Her roots as a Colonel run deep, as she grew up on The Campus Beautiful, attending the Model Laboratory School and later received her MBA from Eastern Kentucky University. Dr. Wilson also earned her BBA in Management from the University of Kentucky. Her research interests include knowledge management, inquiring systems and organizations, information assurance and security, ethical decision-making, volunteerism, empowerment applications to information systems, and business communications application and pedagogy.
Dr. Wilson lives in Richmond with her husband, Joe, an awesome bonus son, Justin, and three dogs—Bailey, Waylon, and Raffi. In her time off, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, golfing, coordinating the ladies’ golf league at Madison Country Club, cheering for EKU and UK athletics, traveling, cooking, exercising, and thoroughbred racing.
