Dr. Mengjie Xu

Dr. Mengjie Xu is an Assistant Professor of Management at Eastern Kentucky University. She earned her Ph.D. in Management from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst.

Dr. Xu’s primary research interests include unethical leadership, emotions, and prosocial behavior. She studies both the dark and bright sides of leadership and employee behavior at work, exploring how they influence attitudes, emotions, and the well-being of individuals within organizations. Her research has been published in the top-ranked journal, the Journal of Applied Psychology. Additionally, she has presented her research at different management conferences and is an active member and reviewer for associations such as the Academy of Management (AOM) and the Southern Management Association (SMA).

Drawing from her years of teaching experience in areas such as Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management, Dr. Xu deeply values the importance of addressing the diverse needs and interests of students. By employing experiential teaching methods and fostering motivation, Dr. Xu aims to deepen students’ understanding of organizational concepts, equipping them to effectively apply this knowledge in real-world scenarios.
