EKU Family Weekend UPDATES:
Due to incoming inclement weather and the families that may be impacted, EKU Family Weekend will be transitioning to the weekend of November 8th to 10th.
We will still be offering an adjusted series of activities for this weekend for those families that would still like to come in for a visit.
Families are welcome to participate in both weekends and/or whatever series or types of campus and community activities that may be of interest and suit their family the best.
Below is the information for the two weekends of activities:

Explore Richmond
Friday, September 27 – Sunday, September 29

Pow Wow and Music and Dance Festival
Friday, September 27 – Sunday, September 29
The Richmond, Kentucky Pow Wow and Music and Dance Festival will be taking place the same weekend as EKU Family Weekend. Additional information can be found HERE.

Open Recreation at the SRC, 6:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Pool Time
Student Recreation Center, 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
A splashing good time! We will have the pool open with the Lily Pad (a super fun blow-up obstacle course in the pool)! Additional information can be found HERE!

Photography Exhibit: National Geographic’s 50 Greatest Landscapes

Colonel Family Fest
Student Recreation Center, 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Join us in the Student Recreation Center with your Colonel family! EKU Colonel Family Fest includes a Bingo, an inflatable bowling alley, mini golf, games, giveaways, dancing, free food and more! We can’t wait to see you there! Further details can be found HERE!
EKU Football vs. Robert Morris
Roy Kidd Stadium, 2:00 p.m. kickoff
Join us for Colonel football! All normal stadium game day experiences will be available. Gates will open 90 minutes prior to kickoff. Additionally, concessions and the EKU Team Shop will be open on the main concourse as gates open.
Price: Families of students can purchase tickets for just $9 in Sections A, B, C, & O, or $5 off any ticket priced $20 or higher by clicking HERE!
Please note: Current EKU students with a valid EKU I.D. get in free of charge.
**Parents, families, and friends that have purchased tickets for the September 28th football game will have a couple options regarding their game tickets for Family Weekend. Those that still plan on attending the football game on September 28th should use their already purchased game tickets as normal. Additionally, parents, families, or friends that still want to attend the football game on September 28th and do not have tickets yet, you can do so by clicking here or by using the link below.
Those parents, families, and friends that no longer plan to attend the September 28th football game due to some Family Weekend activities being moved to November 9th you can exchange your previously purchased tickets to the November 9th game. If you would like to exchange your tickets from 9/28 to 11/9 please email tickets@eku.edu with your name that the tickets were purchased under. Please allow up to two weeks for the exchange to take place through our ticket office. If you attend the game on September 28th and your tickets were redeemed/scanned, you will not be able to exchange your tickets for the November 9th game.

EKU Challenge Course
EKU Challenge Course, 1:00-4:00 p.m.

If you would like the chance to go off the zip-line or have your breath taken away by our giant swing, come out to the Challenge Course. The Challenge Course is located behind the Stratton Building. We will have a shuttle running from the Student Recreation Center (SRC) starting at 1pm with the last shuttle leaving the SRC at 3:15pm. Directions and further details can be found HERE!
*If you would like to participate, please be at the course no later than 3:30pm.
*If you are under 18 years of age you will need a guardian to sign the waiver.
*You must wear appropriate clothing (preferably athletic wear) and shoes (close-toed w/laces).

Join us in the Alumni Coliseum parking lot for the pinnacle event of Family Weekend with your Colonel family! EKU Colonel-val includes a Ferris wheel, super fun slide, carousel, mechanical bull, inflatable bowling alley, mini golf, games, giveaways, dancing, free food and more! EKU Football vs. Central Arkansas

Parking for Family Weekend 2024
There are three parking lot options for visiting guests to park in for the duration of Family Weekend. The main lot will be the Alumni Coliseum Parking Lot followed by the Brockton Lot (next to the parking garage) followed by the Commonwealth Employee Lot. All of these parking options are marked on the map below in pink squares, if you have any questions, please call our office at 859-622-3855.
