Hands-On Experience While You Study

Why wait until after graduation to start getting hands-on experience in an aviation career? EKU Aviation is proud to have partnerships with area airports and other organizations that regularly host students for internships and cooperative education (co-op) experiences.

Blue Grass Airport Operations Internship Program

The Airport Operations Internship Program at Blue Grass Airport was created in partnership with the Eastern Kentucky University Aviation Program and the EKU Career and Co-Op Office in the fall of 2013 to give students real-world aviation experience while reinforcing classroom knowledge, enhancing basic career skills, and earning academic credit towards their degree. Available exclusively to EKU students and one of only a few of its kind in the United States, the program is available to students twice per academic year by applying through the Career and Co-Op Office.
