The Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning (FCTL) spaces are located in Crabbe Library room 318.  Spaces include the FCTL Classroom, the One-Button Recording Studio, and open spaces for informal collaboration. More information is listed below for each.

FCTL Non-Classroom Space

HOURS:
Standard FCTL operating hours are T/W/R, 10:00-3:00 pm, pending other FCTL programming. The FCTL cannot honor room reservation requests that are:

• outside of the Crabbe (Main) Library’s operating hours
• during times the University and/or Crabbe (Main) Library are closed for holidays, intersessions, inclement weather, etc.

FCTL SPACING LIMITATIONS:

• Reservations may not be made further in advance than the current semester.
• Spaces cannot serve as a primary classroom location.
• Reservations are limited to EKU Faculty/Staff.
• FCTL staff cannot assist with food deliveries, storage, set-up, or clean-up for non-FCTL sponsored events & workshops.

FCTL CLASSROOM

The FCTL classroom supports the mission of the FCTL by providing a space for collaborative, faculty-led innovation in teaching & learning. As such, programs that further this objective (such as FCTL programming and academic class sessions) will be given priority usage of the space. All other requests will be evaluated on an individual basis.

CAPACITY:
The FCTL Classroom has a capacity of 45, with moveable tables and chairs, whiteboards, and video/audio equipment.

HUDDLE ROOMS

FCTL Huddle Rooms are smaller spaces that work well for one-on-one or small group meetings.

ROOM DETAILS:

• Capacity: 4 people
• Included in each room: white boards, markers, note pads, 1 table, and 4 chairs.
• Rooms are open at the top and do not provide for a sound proof setting.
• There are no network ports in either Huddle Space.

 FCTL Non-Classroom Space

The FCTL Non-Classroom space includes everything outside of the classroom, office, and huddle spaces.

ROOM DETAILS:

• Capacity: approximately 44 seating spaces; other lounge space
• Includes a variety of seating (some movable and others fixed)
• It is not an open space that would be conducive to large group presentations.
• Access to electricity is available, but limited.
• No access to audio/visual equipment.
