Arrival at the Port of Entry (POE)

Check-in and Orientation
Once you arrive there are several steps to getting checked-in and situated for classes. All new international students are required to attend the International Student Orientation. Read more here for check-in procedures and more information about Orientation.
Dependents are spouses or unmarried minor children under the age of 21. They may accompany an F-1 or J-1 student to the United States or join the student at a later date. They are eligible for admission to the United States in F-2 and J-2 status respectively and will be issued individual I-20s or DS-2019s.
