Education Abroad Office

EKU has a number of study abroad affiliates or exchange programs from which you can choose. Go for a short term program in Summer or Winter Break, OR choose a longer program that is Full Semester or Academic Year!

Visit us in the Education Abroad office anytime between 3:00-4:30 p.m. on Fridays for informal info sessions so that we can get you started on your program search! Continue to search through approved providers listed on our website or come to the Education Abroad Office to discuss the possibilities.

  • Resistance & Survival: Women in France’s World War II with Dr. Deborah Alexander
    This program explores the important, but often overlooked roles of women in France’s WWII occupation and liberation. With France in World War II as a case study, we will explore historical, psychological, and political topics like resistance, propaganda, democracy, heroism, recovery – and women’s places in war.
  • Food, Fashion, & Family within Irish Culture with Dana Bush
    Spend three weeks that you will never forget in one of the most beautiful cities in the world! Learn about Irish food, fashion, and families and explore the city’s famous museums. Contact dana.bush@eku.edu for more information, and EKU Education Abroad for details on how to apply.

Opportunities are available for EKU faculty through:

  • Cooperative Center for Study Abroad (CCSA), a higher education consortium of colleges and universities specializing in faculty-led study abroad to English-speaking countries. The proposal form, along with additional information, is available on CCSA’s website.
  • Kentucky Institute for International Studies (KIIS), a higher education consortium of colleges and universities specializing in faculty-led study abroad. The proposal form, along with additional information, is available on KIIS website.
  • Additional opportunities are available! Come see the Education Abroad Office, in the Crabbe Library Room 225A for details.

Make sure you follow the correct procedure!
Report it to our office. You are required to submit info about your trip/program to our office, even if Academic Credit is not being granted for the abroad experience. Call 859-622-1705 for more information.
