All part-time new faculty are encouraged to participate in the EKU New Faculty Symposium offered in the Faculty Center for Teaching & Learning (FCT&L). We realize that many part-time new faculty, however, will teach online or at a distance. For those new part-time faculty not able to participate in New Faculty Symposium, we offer a rolling part-time new faculty program as an introduction to teaching and learning at EKU.
Part-time new faculty have access to valuable resources at EKU. Most activities related to the part-time new faculty program can be completed online at your own pace before your first semester of teaching, regardless of the semester in which you are scheduled to begin teaching.
About the Part-Time New Faculty Program
The part-time new faculty program involves multiple steps. To begin, complete this brief form so that we can learn more about you and share additional resources.
Once your form is submitted, you will be paired with a faculty mentor. Faculty mentors will provide foundational information regarding teaching and learning at EKU and also connect you with the academic resources that you need to ensure successful teaching and student learning.
Review the resources available here for information about EKU offices and programs to support your teaching and students.
