This workshop provides an overview of how to create and deliver a speech. Students will participate in a brief lesson on brainstorming for speeches, finding research, using visuals, and delivery. After, the facilitator will guide the class through a brief, fun speech exercise to practice public speaking.

This workshop will introduce students to research posters. Students will learn what research posters should do, how they should be designed and organized, and what kind of information they should include.

In this workshop, students will learn the basic elements of infographics, their purpose and how they can be used, as well as some guiding principles of design. Students will also put these ideas into practice with a group exercise.

In this workshop, students will learn what makes an effective thesis statement, why thesis statements are important, and how to construct a strong thesis statement. After, the facilitator will lead a classwide activity to develop and identify strong thesis statements.
