Ms. Julie C. Spease, a dedicated professional with a profound connection to Eastern Kentucky University (EKU), has made a lasting impact as the Manager of Academic Services. Her journey from being a first-generation college student to a three-time EKU graduate reflects her unwavering commitment to her education and alma mater.

Ms. Spease’s Eastern Experience began in 1993 when she embarked on her college journey as a first-generation college student. Her determination and drive led her to earn her first Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Administrative Communication and Services. This achievement marked the beginning of her close affiliation with EKU.

Ms. Spease’s deep-rooted connection to EKU led her to join the university professionally in 1999. Throughout her career, she displayed a remarkable commitment to higher education, exemplified by her continuous pursuit of knowledge. During her tenure at EKU, she achieved a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Insurance and a Master of Science (MS) degree in Career & Technical Education, specializing in Occupational Training & Development. These achievements underline her dedication to personal and professional growth.

As a proud three-time graduate of EKU, Ms. Spease embodies the spirit of an EKU Colonel, displaying a vested interest in the College of Business and Eastern Kentucky University. Her academic journey is an inspiring example of the opportunities for advancement that EKU provides.

Ms. Spease’s role as Manager of Academic Services at EKU perfectly aligns with her personal and academic journey. Advising students on their educational paths and assisting them with their graduation plans has proven to be not just a career but a fulfilling calling. Her dedication to helping students navigate their academic journeys reflects her genuine commitment to the university’s mission.
